Titus Flavius Sabinus Vespasianus is a mouthful of a name, but luckily there are synonyms that can be used in place of his full title. He is also known simply as Vespasian, as well as the Latin version of his name, Tito Flavio Sabino Vespasiano. In addition, he is sometimes referred to as the emperor who oversaw the construction of the Colosseum in Rome. Vespasian was a Roman emperor from AD 69 to AD 79, and he is remembered for restoring stability to the empire after a period of political and social turmoil. While he may have a daunting name, Vespasian left a lasting impact on Roman history.
