The term "flying car" is often used to describe vehicles that can both drive on the ground and take off and fly through the air. However, there are several other synonyms used to describe these futuristic vehicles. Some people refer to them as personal air vehicles (PAVs), vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicles, or flying vehicles. Other common terms include air taxis, aerial cars, and eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles). Regardless of the terminology used, the concept of flying cars has captured the imagination of people for decades and continues to be a topic of research and development in the aviation industry.
