The Six-Day War, also known as the June War or the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, was a military conflict between Israel and its neighboring Arab states of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. The war was fought from June 5 to June 10 in 1967 and resulted in a decisive victory for Israel, which captured significant territories including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Sinai Peninsula, and Golan Heights. Other synonyms for the Six-Day War include the Third Arab-Israeli War, the 1967 War, the Naksa, and the June '67 War. Despite the various names, the Six-Day War remains a significant turning point in Middle Eastern history and a defining moment in the Arab-Israeli conflict.
